Katie Lynch-Live, Laugh, Love Memorial Scholarship

She endured 3 years of treatments, hospital stays and transplants. Katie passed away on May 20, 2011 – a day that will never be forgotten to those who walked the halls of Roncalli High School. This $750.00 scholarship is made possible by the many family and friends whose lives Katie touched so deeply.
Katie was not defined by her illness but instead lived to be a “normal” teenager. She loved nothing more than going to school and being with her friends. She loved to laugh, sing, dance and had a smile that could light up any room. Katie didn’t care if you were the captain of the football team or a shy kid who kept to yourself – she would seek you out and instantly become your friend. She left a lasting impression on people as a quick-witted, happy, fun-loving teenager who loved life and had a way of bringing out the best in people. Anyone who knew Katie knew how important her family was to her and how much she loved spending time with them.
