2015 Roncalli Rebel Varsity Baseball Team

Baseball 2015 Review

Behind coach Aaron Kroll, the baseball team finished with a 25-4 record while navigating one of the area’s toughest schedules.  Despite key injuries prior to and during the season, the team won 15 of 16 games to close out the regular season.  The team had winning streaks of seven, eight and nine games and captured the title at the Center Grove Classic.  Late in the season, the Rebels defeated top-ranked Columbus North in a 5-3 comeback win on senior night.  Junior shortstop Jake Franklin was named the team’s MVP and senior pitcher/first baseman Drew Naumovich earned the team’s mental attitude award.  Kroll, after seven seasons at Ben Davis, had the best first-year winning percentage (82.7%) of any coach in program history.
