2012 Season Recap

The girls’ soccer team finished with an 8-12 record after navigating a difficult schedule and closed the year playing its best soccer, winning six of their final nine games.  The team advanced to the final of both the Marion County Tournament and the sectional.  Senior Jennifer Hillman was named to both the All-Marion County team and the All-District 5 team.  Sophomore Carlie Dick was chosen as an honorable mention All-Marion County selection.  Hillman made the ICGSA (Indiana Coaches of Girls’ Sports Association) All-State first team and Dick was named to the second team.  Junior Taylor Wong was picked to the ICGSA All-State honorable mention team.  Six different players were selected Academic All-District.  Hillman and Dick were chosen, as were seniors Ashley Wagner, Kimmy Merkel and juniors Morgan Barrett and Grace DeMoss.  Merkel and Wagner were also tabbed as honorable mention Academic All-State selections.
