Boys' Swimming & Diving
2012-2013 Season Review
The boys’ swimming and diving team had one of their most successful seasons over the last 15 years, finishing the dual/tri meet season with a 7-1 record and capturing the title at the Brebeuf Invite. In addition, the team finished ninth in the Marion County Meet and fourth at sectional. In the classroom, the boys posted a team GPA of 3.54.
The boys accumulated 25 swims that ranked among the top 10 in program history in the various events. The quartet of senior Brandon Stuckey, freshman Eddie Huck, senior Robert McKay and sophomore Andrew Shuck set a new school record in the 800 Freestyle Relay with a 7:51:00 and the foursome of Stuckey, Huck, Shuck and senior Gavin Griffiths came within one second of breaking the school record in the 200 Medley Relay.
Senior Brandon Stuckey earned team MVP honors. He totaled five individual all-time top 10 swims, was the team’s top point scorer and managed strong performances in both the county and the sectional. Three other seniors qualified for county and sectional finals and the depth remains for another strong season next year.
