The Rebel Jazz Band is an extra-curricular auditioned ensemble. Some of the events that the Rebel Jazz Band has performed for includes concerts, competitions, festivals, Roncalli Open House, Celebrating Catholic School Values Dinner, the Salvation Army’s Tree of Lights Ceremony, and  other community events. Concerts include Sacred Sounds, Fine Arts Christmas Concert, Fine Arts Showcase, and the annual Band Spring Concert. Competitions include the ISSMA Jazz Contest, the University of Indianapolis Jazz Festival, the Ball State Jazz Festival, and the Smoky Mountain Music Festival.

The Rebel Jazz Band has earned superior first ratings in the ISSMA Jazz Contest the past fifteen years. The jazz band has earned superior ratings in the Smoky Mountain Music Festival every year they have competed there. In 2004 and 2006, the Rebel Jazz Band was the grand champion of the Advanced Jazz Band Class at the Smoky Mountain Music Festival.
